Reflection 1

Today on Tuesday 13 November in Ahmed bin Zayed School I touch first lesson was math to grade 1A the class include 21 students girl and boy. However, this day was difficult day for me because it was a new experience for me to teach 20 children's. The children was very noisy they did not listen or respect the rules. I think that, it is difficult for them now be on rules because before I ask my mentor about rules and strategy she use in her class. She told me (that is difficult to put rules to children and want them respect that because there still young and want to be happy) thought that I understand, the children they didn't know negative rules for behavior or afraid about something. Because when I try to put strategy, the good child will take happy faces sticker they was not care about it. However, I think my mentor can control them in her ways such us spoke with them series.
At the beginning, when I did my lesson I welcome all children and told them about lesson it was about the sequences I spend approximately 20 minutes. My learning outcome for this lesson is review the number and older everything one by one. At the beginning I start the lesson I did morning routine for example, date, months and day. I gave the students instructions for example (what we do morning when we wake up?) than I start use sequences words like first, then, next and last. After that, I give chance to child to say what they do by order in morning. After that, I try to show them video about morning routine that will help them to understand better the mean of sequences when they will listen to song and see pictures. But, the computer didn't work and this is the first problem I faced. At this moment, I felt very sad and I lose everything. However, I did not stop and I complete my lesson.
After that, I divided children to groups to do the activities. First, I explain the activity to them and show the how they do it. The first activity was about flash card I put four different cards the card have picture about how brushing teeth. And the children organize it by order from one to 4.I was happy in this part because I didn't face any problem. In addition, second group did the same but not brushing teeth it was how make cake the children organize the cards from 1 to 4 then coloring the pictures. Also, in this part I didn't face any problem and the kids was interested. The third group, I let children play by playhood to make 3 shapes is small baby, child, adult. That will help them use sequence words like (first, second and last). In the last  part the kids was interested to do it.  The last group, I gave each child worksheet to complete the shape. They should draw line from 1-9 to know the name of the a  animal and then color the shape and but below name of the shape.
 The positive aspects of this lesson are I try new thing it is how to deal with noisy children. In general, I like this new experience that I did it but still I have to work in my self and improve my teaching skills. For Example gave the children more clear instruction for activities, attention for the whole students when they did the activists, organize the time.
