Reflection 3


In last lesson plan, I learned many things, it was helpful, and I interested. I was faced some problem in beginning but I didn't stop in that part. Some of this problem, how to deal with noisy children and didn't focus. In this plan I will teach the children how to count from 0‐ 100 and backwards (20-1) than skip one number for example (2,4,6,8....). Befor that, my mentor teacher teach the children morning routine that by gave the children delay information about Months, Days, Date and weather.

After that, I start teach them numbers I gave the children cards included numbers and told them sit on the carpet. And I start a count from 1-100 with them firstly until 15 then I stopped and let them completed by their own. So the children was very happy with that also me and the most thing I loved when I saw the children work together. Than, backwards numbers from (20-1). After we did that, we skip one number for example (2,4,6,8,10….).

So After I finish that, I help my mentor teacher with four activities she did. The first, activity was gave each child white paper and color then let them to draw one numbers with one picture like (car, shape….) and color it. In that part the kids was very interested and make amazing colorful in the white paper. The second activities, was my mentor teacher sat with children and red for them story about numbers. The third activity was put 20 card from numbers and pictures and told the children account how many pictures in the paper after account it put the cards of how many. in that activity the children was happy in this activity. the last group, I sat with them and gave each child paper and teach them how to write in nicely ways the numbers. That was difficult for me because there are some children faster and very intelligent and some of them weakness and need more help that will make the other children who is finish quick fell little of bored. But I told them who finish quick start write the second letter.


In general, I like this new experience that I did. And I know that, teacher job is big responsibility and difficult. The teacher need to be more patient. But, I like this experience. 




My second reflection (English lesson)


On Tuesday, I touch English lesson to grade 1 and my lesson was about colors. My learning outcome for this lesson is review the colors for the children and name of shapes. First at all, before I start my mentor teacher begin with them. Morning routine for example, (Days, Months, Date and Weather) than asked them about the Date, Months, Day and weather. In addition, we spend little time review the letter from (A-Z) if they know it.

After that, I start the lesson to give them the introduction and rules that should follow it. First I put five colors is (Blue, Red, White, Pink and yellow) and some shapes than ask them question is (what name of this color and shapes?). I was surprised about that some of children don't know the name of colors and confused but, when I start said the name of color and ask them to put their finger on the color that I said they was put it in right ways. At this part, I was very happy to teach them and see their level.

In this day my mentor teacher help me in activities and we involve the students some of the will take test and some of them not. So the children who didn't have test I gave them to use five colors and paper and let them to play and draw with wonderful colors.


In the end of the lesson, I give each child happy face sticker and they was very happy. I enjoyed with them. 

Reflection 1

Today on Tuesday 13 November in Ahmed bin Zayed School I touch first lesson was math to grade 1A the class include 21 students girl and boy. However, this day was difficult day for me because it was a new experience for me to teach 20 children's. The children was very noisy they did not listen or respect the rules. I think that, it is difficult for them now be on rules because before I ask my mentor about rules and strategy she use in her class. She told me (that is difficult to put rules to children and want them respect that because there still young and want to be happy) thought that I understand, the children they didn't know negative rules for behavior or afraid about something. Because when I try to put strategy, the good child will take happy faces sticker they was not care about it. However, I think my mentor can control them in her ways such us spoke with them series.
At the beginning, when I did my lesson I welcome all children and told them about lesson it was about the sequences I spend approximately 20 minutes. My learning outcome for this lesson is review the number and older everything one by one. At the beginning I start the lesson I did morning routine for example, date, months and day. I gave the students instructions for example (what we do morning when we wake up?) than I start use sequences words like first, then, next and last. After that, I give chance to child to say what they do by order in morning. After that, I try to show them video about morning routine that will help them to understand better the mean of sequences when they will listen to song and see pictures. But, the computer didn't work and this is the first problem I faced. At this moment, I felt very sad and I lose everything. However, I did not stop and I complete my lesson.
After that, I divided children to groups to do the activities. First, I explain the activity to them and show the how they do it. The first activity was about flash card I put four different cards the card have picture about how brushing teeth. And the children organize it by order from one to 4.I was happy in this part because I didn't face any problem. In addition, second group did the same but not brushing teeth it was how make cake the children organize the cards from 1 to 4 then coloring the pictures. Also, in this part I didn't face any problem and the kids was interested. The third group, I let children play by playhood to make 3 shapes is small baby, child, adult. That will help them use sequence words like (first, second and last). In the last  part the kids was interested to do it.  The last group, I gave each child worksheet to complete the shape. They should draw line from 1-9 to know the name of the a  animal and then color the shape and but below name of the shape.
 The positive aspects of this lesson are I try new thing it is how to deal with noisy children. In general, I like this new experience that I did it but still I have to work in my self and improve my teaching skills. For Example gave the children more clear instruction for activities, attention for the whole students when they did the activists, organize the time.
